Home Visit – Check!
Our initial home visit has been completed – and, I have to say, it was QUICK! More of a quick walk-through where we were asked to point out certain things as she checked them off.
Now, we are finishing up our required education and trainings and getting the rest of our paperwork in order. It’s a LOT of paperwork! While I would do this paperwork over and over to bring our child home, I’m honestly ready for the part where we just wait.
Right now, my head is spinning with medical terminology of “special needs” and I have to say… it’s hard being able to say up front what you will or won’t “accept” or can or can’t handle when all you have are some definitions and a quick overview. How do people do that? I’m trying to figure it out… I keep staring at these and some of them are obvious – the ones that would require a children’s hospital and often, we don’t have the resources locally to do that. But, the others? How do I choose?
So, we pray that God just shows us where he wants us. That His will be done. (I keep going back to this UNTRUTH that somehow I can screw up His Mighty Plans…and I can’t.)
