Thanksgiving – A Learning Experience

We’re studying about Christopher Columbus this month, and I wanted to share with you some of the great links I’ve found so far!  (I’m hoping to share pictures of our other studies and activities in a future post – we’ve been busy!)

Thanks for all the links. Some good stuff there…forutnately (and unfortuantely) you have just increased an already too full holiday crafts/activities notebook :)
I do have to say though that I was excited to see a link to a toddler november calendar page but was ultra disappointed to see that it had nothing at all about being thankful! Upon googling “november activity calendar” and the like, I realized (or rerealized) that somehow it seems that turkey has become the “t” word and the centerpiece of the holiday. What about being thankful?! My goodness! Isn’t that the real point of the holiday? I mean, thankfulness should not even be a christian concept but a universal concept and you would think that parents and teachers and creative people caring for children would endeavor to put a little more of this important traits into their children. Ok, I know this was very much a ramble, but really it bothers me (in case you hadn’t noticed :)
