It’s officially official
Okay, so I did it. I took the leap. I’m going to blogHer. It’s officially official. See?

Now, who else is going? (I want to know!)
….
In other, but equally exciting news:
BABY, BACK OFF. STOP HORSING AROUND, YOU HAVE TO WAIT AT LEAST 8 MORE WEEKS. IT’S THE RULES.
Contractions. At 5 am. Relatively regular contractions. Very painful contractions. And, me lying in bed going back and forth from wanting to call my doula and mom and then just wanting to reach over and hit my husband with the Milano cookies the hospital told me to eat to get the baby active. Just because I could. – That, and because he kept falling asleep. I mean, I’m in some serious pain here and kind of freaking out and you are falling asleep? Let me help you eat that Milano cookie, sir.
Although this might have ended my obsession with the Pepperidge Farm Milano Cookies…I’ve never wanted a dang cookie LESS than at 5 am this morning.
The contractions have stopped and are now only presenting themselves in random painful jabs but veeerrrrryyyy spaced out. Like hours. Or more.
I have a feeling it was all related to stress and such, but there’s the update nonetheless.
(Oh, and for those of you who were wondering about Lorelei – she’s doing mostly better. Except for the rash. The rash isn’t really getting worse, but it’s sure taking it’s time to go away. As in, I’m not sure it is. But, at least she feels better in every other way, right?)
Welcome back!

OMG! I don’t know where to start.
First, baby, behave and listen to your mother! You are not allowed to make an early appearance.
Second, please take it easy, stay off your feet (when possible), and drink lots of fluid.
Third, OMG! You’re going to BlogHer! So excited for you
I’m still not sure if I’m going yet. I really hope I can!

You SOOOO could have called if for nothing else than company! I don’t mind, really!
I am sure you are right about it being stress. And join the club with the “man response” . . . we love them, but they just don’t get the need for companionship when we are in pain! Hence, the whole need for moms and sisters and best friends and doulas!
