Very nice to get all that out. Memories are all we have in life because even the present is just a new memory. The good and bad make us who we are but nothing like the loss of a friend. I have a friend that I considered dear to me, and then one day she just disappeared. I have not seen or heard from her in over 10 years. I miss her and wonder what she is doing today. We had lots of fun just being friends and I miss just hanging. For your gramps, in your heart you said goodbye and he knows it. Trust me. Wow, deep and personal. Very nice to get all that out.
