I got the itch again during Lorelei’s nap-time. No, I don’t have some weird fungal infection…I mean, the creative itch…I needed to do something with my hands…my mind.
I had seen a cool tutorial for a skirt a while back, and I thought I’d give it a try. During nap-time. So, I calculate my measurements and make my adjustments and even use another skirt as reference. A few hours later, I’m finished and Lorelei is awake.

Too bad it didn’t fit. That’s what I get for making baby clothes during NAP-TIME.
EDIT: I used THIS tute.
I'd love it if you stalked me (subscribe to my RSS feed). Thanks for visiting!

It looks like it fits. Real cute. You did a good job.

Thanks. Eh…it doesn’t fit…rarely got it over her bum. I have to scrap it and start over…

That’s pretty cool - my wife has ZERO creative bones in her body and she would never do anything like this.
I think part of the reason is because her mom always made her clothes and let’s just say that they were not as cute as this dress.

lol Eh, I think ugly clothes should be left unmade…but I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder…creator…something like that…Anyways…if I wouldn’t buy it, I won’t make it (and make her wear it)…that’s my rule. lol

Don’t scrap it! Give it to my Melo!
I’m liking all the clothes you’ve been making lately!

Thanks hon…but unless Melo wears 9 mos clothes…I don’t think it’ll fit. I’m not throwing it out. I’m gonna see if I can find some matching fabric and put a little panel in…or something else. And, if I can’t, I’ll put it in with the other too small clothes bin L has and use it for another kid…unless we only have more boys. Then I’ll um…give it away. Haha.

That is so cute. I hope you were able to put in a panel and save it. I adore that fabric. So, where’s the tute?
I listed the tute on the post
